A lot of poker players end up losing the game not because of poor strategy and technique. More often than not, losing happens because of lack of discipline. This hold some truth in it since some players do not know how to control themselves especially when they are having a cold game. When you are at a poker table always remember to do everything in moderation. Moderation means do not exaggerate things and always control every move that you do in the whole duration of the game.
Decision making is such a hard task to do especially when you do not have self discipline over the things that are necessary. Let's say for example when you decide to use the art of bluffing. Bluffing requires a little drama for it to be really effective. If a player is easily carried away on the situation of his hand then there is a tendency that you will fail the bluffing technique for not taking control of your emotions. For instance, when you are at the losing end, of course you must let your opponent's believe that you are holding a good hand even though you are not. You must project an aura of a winner. Meaning you have to be calm and relax. Remember that a small glitch on your face can be a determining factor thus giving your opponent's a lot more reason to rejoice. On the other hand, when you are in the winning end, do not get too excited. Do not be carried away with that. The moment that the other players find out that you do have a winning hand, they will formulate a technique to let you down and you end up losing instead of winning. The bottom line is to do everything in moderation.
Talking about moderation, some players often lose because they are very rude at the table. Still, this goes down to the emotions of the player. There are a lot of people who are so hot headed especially when they are losing. Sometimes they tend to ridicule other players and say foul words that is often the reason for them getting banned at the table. Of course nobody wants to be banned. When you are kicked out of the table, it means that you will no longer have the chance of playing in that table thus you will not be able to gain profit. Always remember to always control yourself.
